Sunday 11 February marks the 9th Day of Women and Girls in Science promoted by UNESCO #WomenInScience #February11
The Sicilian Center for Nuclear Physics and Structure of Matter in collaboration with the University of Catania, the INAF Astrophysical Observatory of Catania and the INFN Section of Catania, organize the event Meet "LE" Researchers to tell and above all show live what STEM researchers do in Catania.

Two hours in which you can discover experiments and demonstrations of biology, chemistry, physics, geology, artificial intelligence and much more.

Together with a large group of researchers from Catania you will observe the sand under the microscope, you will discover how chemistry can be useful in the fight against cancer, you will observe the sun with a telescope, you will take a journey into the abyss in search of neutrinos and, again, you will discover how the artificial intelligence allows us to recognize food and waste, how it is possible to observe particles that come from the cosmos, how to recognize gems, how physics can help you protect the environment around us. All-female experiments and demonstrations to learn about the role of women and girls in science!

The event obtained the official logo of the #InternationalDayOfWomenAndGirlsInScience sponsored by UNESCO and promoted by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT).
