From Monday 24 to Saturday, October 29, the children of university science departments and research institutions affiliated adhere to the XXVI edition of the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Education.

From  Monday 24 to Saturday, October 29 the appointment with the Settimana della Cultura Scientifica e Tecnologica promoted annually by the Ministry of Education, University and Research. On this occasion, throughout Italy will open the doors of laboratories, universities, research centers and scientific research institutions, to raise awareness of young people and the general public  the daily work of scientists, to present scientific research as a backbone of scientific development, cultural and technological development of the country and to show, especially to young people, how exciting the "work to Science".

This year the scientific departments also of the University of Catania and research institutions affiliated with the organizational support of the Plan Scientific Degrees, participating in the initiative by organizing a week full of events that kicks off Monday, October 24 at 9 am, in the auditorium of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, with opening ceremony, during which they will be presented the activities organized in the different fields (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and this year Biology and Geology) and will continue with a full program over the course of the week.
