Today December 5th the CSFNSM celebrates 65 years of activity. Happy birthday and long life to CSFNSM!

Founded in 1955, the CSFNSM has had scientific research in the field of Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics, Condensed Matter Physics and Applied Physics among its statutory purposes since its creation. More recently, Astrophysics has also been added.

The CSFNSM also deals, through the provision of scholarships, with the advanced training of physics graduates and young researchers.

Since 2015, scientific dissemination is also among the statutory purposes of the CSFNSM.

In its 65 years of existence, the CSFNSM has contributed to Sicilian Physics with important research infrastructures, with hundreds of fellows and with numerous scientific dissemination events of national impact.
